It is Prezi which really impressed me by it’s simplicity and usability. It’s simply great!
Prezi is a tool to create Presentations. You can create, store and present them online! Very Handy, you have access to your Presentations at every place and every time… There are a lot such tools you say? Yes, that’s true, but none is like prezi.
Prezi leaves the trail of common presentation tools like Powerpoint. They are all faking the handling of overhead transparency foils. Prezi is not! prezi is a complete new way of doing a presentation. When you create, it feels like scribbling down notes on a piece of paper. The same way you do when you gather ideas before you begin creating a Powerpoint. When you scribbled down your thoughts… you can connect them by a trail… In presentation mode your presentation hops from point to point! It’s not slide after slide… it’s trail point after point… You can set the focus of every point with the help of Frames, otherwise it just focuses the text-box, image,movie…
At every point in the presentation you can zoom out and move around your sheet… no more: “wait, i think that was on my fifth slide… click, click, cklickediclick”

Once again, cebit is the place to presents some cool new gadgets for the European market… For once it isn’t Apple with cool new shiny products. This time it’s Microsoft and Asus.
First, we hear all about it: Microsoft’s Surface seems to be ready for the market. If it’s able to do what it does in marketing videos, i’m pretty sure it’s a huge success. Not at home for the beginning, the price Tag of 5000 Euros is a bit hoigh for that… But we’ll see it in showrooms…
I hope Jeff Hahn gets some of the money 
Next some cool Stuff from Asus:
A PC in a Keyboard (with wireless hdmi), A NAS for Home Users , a tiny MediaPC and some prototype of a keyless laptop (unfortunately the model they have at cebit is broken…) All shiny white or out of Aluminum and pretty good looking… Hell the NAS even has a built-in battery to prevent data damage on a power cut…
Some cool stuff…. Sorry for the German Golem Videos, but hey, if comes to Cebit, they are the first to have the news
This week we’ll surely see more Stuff from Cebit… Great we have an occasion like this in Europe..

Am 3ten März findet in Fribourg zum ersten mal webmardi statt. Ein Treffen für Freaks, Geeks, Nerds, Designer und Profis aus dem Web-Bereich. webmardi wird einmal monatlich durchgeführt und etabliert sich hoffentlich als fixer Termin in der Branche.
Es soll ein Ort des Austausches sein. Vorbild hierbei ist der webtuesday in Zürich, webmardi ist nun das pendant für die Westschweiz organisiert von Pierre Spring.
Mit gleichgesinnten Erfahrungen austauschen und über neue Trends spekulieren.
webmardi, jeweils am ersten Dienstag des Monats, besteht aus jeweils einem Vortrag zu einem Web-Thema und anschliessendem Apero welches zu Diskussionen und Austausch anregen soll.
Diesmal ist das Thema HTML 5. Joël Bez wird dazu einen Vortrag halten und uns das Thema näherbringen. Was ist neu an HTML 5? Wieso brauchen wir es? Wie ist der aktuelle Stand? Dazu Demos, Diskussionen und Bier.
Interesse geweckt? Dann los und ab auf webmardi.ch und anmelden. Ich würde mich freuen Dich in den Büros von Liip and der Fonderie 7 in Fribourg anzutreffen.

Das neue Wordpress 2.7 hat viele Interface Neuerungen mitgebracht… OK hier auf dem Frontend sieht man nichts davon, das Admin-Interface ist jedoch verdammt sexy geworden!

Aus guter Quelle weiss ich folgendes zu berichten.
Das iPhone gibts bei Orange CH zu folgenden Konfditionen.
Packet beinhaltet Optima 100 mit zusätzlich 1GB Datentransfer. (39.- od. 45.-)
Verpflichtet man sich für 1 Jahr gilt folgendes:
299.- SFr für 8 GB Modell
349.- für das 16 GB Modell
Bei 2 Jahren Vertrag gibts das Teil noch etwas billiger.
Alles in allem ein zimlich günstigereres Angebot als dasjenige von Swisscom

Na da bin ich einer Falschinformatin aufgesessen. Optima 100 gibts für 40.- und iPhone Optima 100 ist teurer und kostet 61.- SFr. !

Na dann hol dir nen GSM-Jammer !!!
166 Stutz und der Portable Phone Jammer gehört dir. Damit legst du im Umkreis von 5-10 Metern jedes Handy lahm dass mit GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 oder 1900 MHz funkt. Also alle Handys des Planeten ausser die amerikanischen (die haben mal wieder einen eigenen Standard ) Und dabei ist das Gerät mit 70g kleiner und leichter als ein handelsübliches Handy.
Und wem die 5-10 Meter zuwenig sind, der wird sicher bei phonejammer.com fündigt. Ein Shop der sich nur um Geräte zur Empfangsstörung von Handys kümmert.
Falls jemand nun wirklich so ein Teil bestellt… bitte vorher die Gesetze konsultieren. Im öffentlichem Raum sind die Geräte meist verboten, weil man so im schlimmsten Falle auch einen Notruf verhindern könnte. Wie das ganze in geschlossenen privaten Räumen in der Schweiz aussieht weiss ich jetzt leider nicht…
Aber wär das ganze nicht eine nette Idee für Kinos und Restaurants?

Hier der Beweis, dass DRM einfach kacke ist und mehr schadet als nützt. Vor Jahren habe ich eine meiner Lieblings-CD’s in mp3 umgewandelt…
Nun heute habe ich besagtes Stück per iTunes hören wollen… und was meint iTunes dazu?
Was soll dass den? Ich darf nicht?
Auf welcher Grundlage wird denn da enschieden? Ich soll angeben in welchem iTunes Store ich das gekauft habe?
Wie? ist das ernst gemeint? Darf ich jetzt nur noch im iTunes gekaufte Musik abspielen?
Legal selber geripptes ist also nicht erlaubt?
Meine Situation ist nun so: Die geliebte CD, der Band “The Presets” kann ich auf diesem Apfel PC unmöglich hören, denn, da ich sie nicht im Apple Store erworben habe… gibts für mich auch keinen Benutzernamen und Passwort um das Lied freizuschalten.
2 Möglichkeiten hab ich noch:
Apple MacOSX von der Kiste verbannen und durch ein Anwenderfreundliches Linux ersetzen!
… oder ich kauf mir die CD ein zweites mal um sie in iTunes hören zu dürfen…
hmmm… was tu ich da bloss…
Ich glaube mein kurzer OSX Rückfall (ausgelöst durch macbook) ist hiermit beendet…
Ich will wieder ein System, welches mich nicht daran hindert, MEINE EIGENE Musik zu hören…

Wenn man ein Programm schreiben will, welches bestimmte Dinge in einem Text/Sourcecode findet kommt man nicht drumherum sich mit Regular Expressions (RegExp) zu befassen.
Reguläre Ausdrücke (RegExp) sind eine Art um TextMuster zu definieren. Gute Anleitungen dazu gibts hier.
Viele Aufgaben im täglichen Leben eines Entwicklers können mittels RegExp viel eleganter gelöst werden als mit anderen Mitteln. Also schauts euch mal an.
Zum Testen von RegExp kann ich das freie Tool Visual Regexp von Laurent Riesterer wärmstens empfehlen. Da kann man sehr praktisch seine RegExp’s austüfteln…
Das Tool ist mit TCL/TK geschrieben (übrigens ne nette Sprache wenn man noch keine Scripting Language im Repertoire hat)
